About COMSADI for grant applications
Community Sanitation and Development Initiative (COMSADI) is a registered Nigerian non-profit environmental organisation delivering community-led sanitation and litter-mapping programmes in vulnerable urban, peri-urban, and rural communities — with a focus on Abuja LGAs and informal settlements where blocked drains and unmanaged litter elevate flood and public-health risks. As lead implementer and grant holder, COMSADI mobilises communities, manages programme delivery and donor reporting, and retains ownership of project data and community relationships. Through a written partnership with LitterTrace Ltd (UK), COMSADI uses the LitterTrace civic-tech platform to generate GPS-stamped, photo-evidenced, structured clean-up records and exportable evidence packs (CSV / GeoJSON) as means of verification. LitterTrace receives no equity or control over COMSADI; related-party payments, if any, are arm’s length, budgeted, and approved by trustees with no financial interest in LitterTrace Ltd. COMSADI aligns with SDG targets 11.6, 12.5 and 14.1 and welcomes partners who require transparent environmental sanitation results in the Global South.

Related-party disclosure
The founder of LitterTrace Ltd may serve as one trustee on the COMSADI Board (Technology and Monitoring) alongside independent trustees. LitterTrace Ltd provides the monitoring platform under a partnership agreement; COMSADI holds grant funds, employs or contracts a Nigeria-based Programme Lead, and makes programmatic decisions through its Board. Payments to LitterTrace Ltd require approval by trustees with no financial interest in LitterTrace Ltd and are disclosed in grant budgets.
